Things I saw at the Gadget show live - Gaming Exhibition area

One of the exhibition halls at this year's Gadget show live was set aside for gaming. This included the whole range of gaming from handheld consoles to high end PC and console gaming.

Nintendo had a great display of all of their handheld console throughout the ages, right up to the 3DS, which takes a little getting used to.

It was great seeing some of this year's AAA titles on show, like Gears of War 3, Mortal Kombat and Duke Nukem forever, and you could actually play most of them.

Gears of war 3 multiplayer beta

Gears of War 3 multiplayer was shown off to great effect, and it looked absolutely superb. There has been a real jump in the game engine between Gears 2 and Gears 3, and the AI tactics look like they have been honed to perfection.

There was also a fair bit of 3D racing going on, with titles like Dirt 3 and F1 2010 being shown in very customised vehicle surrounds.

The LG replica Formula 1 car was very slick having a triple 3D monitor display, and the Dirt 3 rally car cockpit had a rather bizarre oval dome surround that was immersive, if a little disturbing when you were actually in it.

Shaun mccran's Gravatar Hi,
Thanks for your comments! The character from the first image is the exo suit from Crysis 2. It was a full size 3d resin cast.

The Amazing Exhibitionists's Gravatar Have to agree with exhibit3sixty. Gaming event exhibition stands and features are always easy on the eye and great to look at, not to mention design and build ( http://www.theamazingexhibitionists.com/exhibition... ). One of our designers loves it when we have gaming clients.
