JQuery Drag and Drop to multiple div elements

My only previous experience with Drag and Drop web development was with Flex 2, which I have to say was a bit of a nightmare. There was an astronomical amount of setup to do in terms of event listeners and mouse watching services, so I was reluctant to get back into 'Drag and Drop' with any other technology.

This article explains how straight forward the JQuery Drag and Drop interfaces are to use, and how I constructed a Drag and Drop example using multiple divs.

Book review: CMS Design Using PHP and JQuery

I was recently approached by Packt Publishing to review one of their new books, CMS Design using PHP and JQuery. They mentioned that I'm always talking about JQuery so thought I'd be an ideal test subject.

I've dabbled in some PHP, and JQuery is an everyday tool in my arsenal so I was more than happy to give it a read.

Huge update for Robo Defense for Android

Over the last few days Lupis Labs have steadily released a huge amount of updates to their 'Robo Defense' Android game. It was already a top ten game for the Android platform, but it is great to see software maturing, and being constantly revised to bring additional features to their users.

There has been a massive graphics overhaul, the addition of a zoom mode and several other updates. They have also added a load more achievements, and a survival mode with scaling difficulty to really test you.

Creating and using a custom short URL with bit.ly

Most of us are familiar with short URL's now. They are a pretty standard feature online now. What is becoming more popular is having a custom URL for your own links. Instead of posting short URL's that contain the name of the service provider, you can create a short link that has your own custom short format.
